We're a couple of high school history teachers who discuss and debate each other's thoughts and ideas about U.S. history and pop culture.  Each  episode creates a big picture snapshot of one year in post-WWII America by using significant historical events to contextualize a handful of films, TV shows, and songs.

We discuss the films It's a Wonderful Life and The Best Years of Our Lives and music by Nat King Cole and Louis Jordan. We also examine the technological shifts that began to reshape the world of television.
